Lesley Heller presents a solo exhibition of recent small-scale multi-media collages by Amanda C. Mathis in the Project Space.

Predominantly known for her large-scale site specific installations which often incorporate discarded elements from DIY renovations, Mathis’ small-scale collages bring these larger conversations on domestic space into a more intimate and personal scale. Her works are explorations on the everyday architecture of dwellings and the overlapping yet disjointed elements of how we recollect and piece together the places we pass on a daily basis.

Ellie Krakow's Arm Armature series has been getting the attention it deserves with a solo exhibition titled "Square, Line, Circle" at LES gallery Miranda Kuo. This work reimagines museum armatures, with bold color photography of the artist's own upper limbs positioned to mimic the original, mounted on 3D displays resembling wet clay. Described as 'furniture-pedestals' this series has been shown at several venues in the last year including Nurture Art and Present Company.

GALLERY HOURS: Wed - Friday, 11am - 5pm

UNFOLDING: Jennifer Grimyser, Jena H. Kim, Daniela Kostova
Curated by Eun Young Choi

Through the folding and unfolding of narratives, spaces and ideas, these three artists compose and manipulate the dimensional boundaries of painting and photography.

For UNFOLDING, Jena H. Kim’s new site specific wall installation renders a simple pictorial frame that is subverted by elements of mystery and abstraction. Kostova presents 'Adventure Playground' depicting a scene of a family surviving a flood. Jennifer Grimyser will be showing her carefully constructed photographs rife with deceptive illusions.

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, May 13, 6-8PM
ON VIEW: May 13, 2017 to June 18, 2017
HOURS: WED - SUN, 11 am - 6 pm
